Jo jag ville till bergen, ville få värme och sol, Georgien, Turkiet, Iran och Marocko var resmål som siktet var inställt på. Men november på dessa ställen verkade vara lite fel tidpunkt, för kallt på hög höjd och risk för snö.
Spanien och solkusten, jag hade nog inte riktigt förstått hur behagligt klimatet var där i november. Det var min vän och arbetskollega Lena Bergman på BO Outdoor som har en lägenhet där nere och ”sålde” in resmålet.
Andalusien
Jag fick med mig min kompis, Dojan, (Kristoffer Björkman) som liksom jag har myror i brallan och vill att det ska hända saker. Första gången vi träffades var när jag arrangerade Kebnekaise classic1993 och Dojan drev actiontidningen Edge. Då kom han på snöskor och snowboard och kämpade sig igenom tävlingen och meterhöga drivor med nysnö på platten i Tarfaladalen. Inget önsketerräng för det valet av utrustning. Dojan är mao inte bang för äventyr med fysiska inslag. Under åren har vi sedan kamperat ihop i Marocko, Gran Canaria, Pyrenéerna, Boggesundslandet eller Höga kusten med trailskor eller MTB
Väl framme i Malaga hyrde vi en bil, en bil som var utrustade med backkamera och GPS som vid varje trång sväng började pipa och tjuta. Stressig värre och det resulterade i att jag backade in en cementvägg, stressande, förbannande, jo det är bara förnamnet. Det var lätt bättre förr, när bilar kom med ”kofångare” Jag undrar vilken idiot det är som kommit på att ersätta kofångarna med ömtåliga plastlister fram och bak på bilen, varför finns inte gummi och platsskyddet kvar. Obegripligt vad design kan vara korkat och opraktiskt ibland.
En annan Duracellkanin som jag stött på under årens lopp är Snickers, (Crister Löfgren) som nu testar att flytta ner med familjen till Almunicar under ett år. Snickers var ledig och hade planerat en tur upp till Sierra Nevadas Mulchacen, 3 479 möh, Spaniens högsta punkt på fastlandet.
Det lät lockande så jag och Dojan stämde möte med Snickers. Boysen fann varandra direkt och om de väljer att byta bana så bestämde de sig för att grunda flyttfirman Dojan & Snickers.
Efter att jag och Dojan hade acklimatisering oss i Lenas, Mickes härliga lägenhet i Calahonda med strandlöpning, skinnydipping och botaniserade i läckra seafood- och fiskdiskar var vi redo för att utforska bergen.
Tidig start, 2.5 h bilresa till en av alla vita städer, Capiliera vid kanten av Sierra Nevada. Vi följde en smal ravin med kor och fårahedar. Efter ca 3 h kom vi upp till Refugio Poqueira 2 500 möh. Ett stor stenbyggnad fullt med sängplatser på rad. Öppen spis, varmt vin, stenväggar, innetofflor och isyxor på väggarna. Spelar ingen roll, dessa refugios, i bergen är alltid så genuint äkta.
3 500 möh det tar tid att dagen efter ta oss upp på toppen, en steg i taget, långsamt, höjden känns. lite snö och blåst, mössa, vantar på. Jag blir alltid lika varm om hjärtat av 360 vyerna från bergstoppar. Miljö, stillheten, magin, fyrarätters middagar, jag och Dojan stannar en natt till.
Bergområdes område n1, avbockad, vi tar oss genom ”hippiestaden” Orgiva innan vi fortsätter bort till ”Sverigeorten” Nerja. Men vi vill upp i bergen, på halvchans har vi hittar några sköna trails via i nätet och som backup tar vi med oss pannlampa. Turen blir bland det läckraste ja gjort på länge. Efter en trälig grusväg uppför hittar vi sedan en kamlöpning på en smal ridge som tar oss ner till bilen och grottorna i Nerja igen. Solnedgång som bara finns på film och avslutar i pannlampa sken.
Tips för dig som vill prova. Har du en bil, ställ den på en ”parkering” precis innan grottorna gå grusvägen i ca 5 km, passera en camping, (har du två bilar parkera den ena efter campingen) gå hela tiden vänster tills du kommer till en urtorkad bäck, gå in i bäcken och efter ca 200 m kommer ett röse, ta höger, brant stig uppför i ca 40 min, sedan kommer du upp till sadeln och det bara en väg hela vägen ner till grottorna på vackra stigar, ca 3 h tur i lagom tempo med fotostopp.
Ett par timmar bilfärd från Calahonda tog vi oss till Nationalparken Grazalema, ännu en vit byn med samma namn som vi testar under 3 dagar
Långa middagar på små lokala krogar. Frukostar där lokala poliskåren nickar välkomnade, männen kommer och tar som kaffe, de avlöses av kvinnor som stannar lite länge. Grottlöpning, smala raviner, höga toppar, singeltrails genom torra barrskogar. Vi pallar sura apelsiner, får lifta av en lokal rörmokaren och övernattar i bilen.
Dojan åker hem och på Facebook ser jag att Runacademy och grundaren Petra Kindlund har löparläger. Petra har varit med i Salomonbilden sedan 2010, när vi inledde vår strategiska satsning på trailrunning i Sverige. Hon har varit med på alla plan, medlem i Salomon laget, föredragshållare, ambassadör, tävlingsarrangör, och nu driver hon Runacademy på 41 orter i landet med drygt 2000 medlemmar, en minst sagt imponerande karriär!
