Från Sveg till Åsarna började min färd in i Björnriket. 11 mil tills jag var framme och bara ett stopp på vägen där det fanns saker att köpa, Ytterhogdal ca 4,5 mil från Sveg. Sen ytterligare 6,5 mil utan möjlighet att fylla på förråden på ett enkelt sätt.

Energi ut och energi in
Under ett äventyr är det viktigt att inte gå tom på energi eller torr på vätska. Det går att planera och förbereda utifrån det man ska göra. Flera har frågat så det här inlägget kommer handla om just det. Hur jag tänker kring mat och energi under mitt äventyr.

Jag gör nu i två veckor av med ca dubbla till tredubbla energimängden när jag cyklar etapper på 10 till 14 mil om dagen. Då är det viktigt att jag har koll. 

Vad har jag med mig på cykeln och i vagnen?
Fokus blir cykeldelen av äventyret och jag tänkte beskriva vad jag har med avseende just ätbart och dryck samt hur jag tänker kring denna del.  Speciellt med tanke på hur glest det är mellan platser att äta eller fylla på förråden längs vägen.

E45 Norrut

Måltider som är med i vagnen
Jag har med mig frystorkat från Outmeals för tre till fyra måltider i stöten under cykeldelen av mitt äventyr. Till dessa behöver jag bara kokande vatten att blanda dem med. En god och energirik måltid på ca 10 min när det behövs.

En stor termos med hett vatten är perfekt för att laga två måltider under dagen.  Har även ett Primuskök i vagnen och kan koka vatten om det behövs mer.

Outmeals och Might Sports

Energi för cyklingen
All energi för cykeldelen av mitt äventyr har jag primärt i form av sportdryck, gels och bars från Mighty Sports. Bra saker som jag har prövat sen ett år tillbaka och de funkar riktigt  bra.

Två fulla flaskor med sportdryck som jag fyller på så fort jag kan. Två gels och två bars. Det ger mig en actionsradio på 3 till 4 mil beroende på värme och om det är tungt att cykla.  Krisar det har jag vatten i termosen även om det är varmt.

Drygar ut genom att äta och fika på vägen
Allt handlar om planering och att tänka till. Genom att äta en extra bulle eller måltid längs vägen så räcker det jag har med mig längre om det skulle knipa. Dessutom så får jag träffa härliga människor på vägen och det är verkligen superkul! I Ytterhogdal vart det ett besök på Statoil och en klassisk korv med mos plus meny och trevligt samtal med de som var där.

Toppade upp med en extra läsk, smågodis och chips. Som sagt, Sherpa är en bra kompis att ha när man cyklar. Jag cyklade på de sista dryga 6 milen med ett par fotostop, sträcka på benen lite eller för att skicka iväg en ’spot’ för att uppdatera kartan så ni ser var jag var.

Att lägga på lite extra innan man ger sig iväg
Jag försöker alltid att äta upp mig innan jag ska ut på strapatser. Inte mycket, men ett par tre kg för mina tre veckor ute denna gång är inte dumt alls. Lättare att bära och en bra reserv att ta av.

Energiplan är A och O!
En av de komponenter man inte ska fuska med är energiplanen. Den är viktig och inte så svår om man bara tar sig tid att räkna och sen testa den. Då får man successivt en bra erfarenhet att utgå ifrån. ta gärna hjälp av andra.

Förberedelser gör att jag kan njuta av färden
Det kan tyckas som mycket arbete och det är det första gången. Sen bygger jag på och lär mig genom egna erfarenheter eller av tips och råd från andra. Då är det ingen stress kring det området på äventyret och jag har tid att stanna till och ta en bild som den här favoriten från idag.

Bliss..

Kommer alltid tillbaka till just det, planera, förbereda och testa. Allt detta innan äventyret gör att man kan nå målet med ett leende.
