Det var i januari nu i år, när jag stod i valet och kvalet att tacka ja till förra sommarens säsongsjobb inför kommande sommar. En jobb och en sommar som innebar massa ansvar, att vara länk mellan resenärer och lokala aktörer. Att hålla balansen, att få visa upp Skandinavien från huvudstädernas fina och historiska sidor. Älskar’t. Ett drömjobb.

Men huvudstäder…. klump i magen. Varje gång på båtturen genom Sognefjorden försökte jag smyga mig in i upplevelsebanken hos individerna som kom glidandes förbi i sina havskajaker. DÄR… Friluftsliv. Att i naturen få vara FRI, insupa frisk LUFT och känna LIV. Det är där jag vill vara, mest hela tiden. Det blev ett nej till förra årets dröm, att bryta sig fri, det skapades utrymme.

Frida

En delning på Facebook i flödet ledde till Adventure Academy. Frida har utrymme och börjar vakna på riktigt och minns de diffusa dagdrömmarna om att livnära sig som äventyrare, och de började göra sig mer och mer påtagliga.

Det blev en nervös ansökan med en öppen dialog i personliga brevet om en 26årig tjej som vill fortsätta hålla elden vid liv och om identitetssträvan, den ständiga, som med andra ord kallas livet.

I början på februari damp ett mejl ned i inboxen från Adventure Academy. Frida var ute på tur med gäster i Lapplands vita marker, kunde bara se avsändare, inte innehåll. Ovissheten om svaret i brevet fick ligga och vila tills turen var genomförd. Väl framme bjöd innehållet på glädjerus.

Nu är vi i mitten på April och mycket har hänt. Det har varit kurstillfällen i Stockholm bland annat om att genomföra sitt drömäventyr med vår rektor Peter Persson, topptur och lavinkurser med Mountain Guide Travel och snack med Erik Ahlström, numera bloggkollega här på outsidesweden.

Frida och co under en bestigning av Island Peak

Vildmarksmässan bjöd på föreläsningar med förebilder som Kristina Paltén – mental styrka, Dennis Svärd – PR, Fredrik Hjort – Riskanalys, Systrarna Davidsson – grönlandsexpeditionen, Ola Skinnarmo – om sina expeditioner och hantering av partners, Pelle Höckerbo, outmeals – om energiförbrukning och Robin Trygg om sina Everestexpeditioner.

Sen bjöds det på vandring med 16kg/22kg packning och hypotermitest och teori med Olivia på Adventure Medicine. Är nu även godkänd i Första Hjälpen i Vildmark och kittad med Första Hjälpen till min färd i sommar!

Som ni kan läsa är blir vi närmast serverade en äventyrets guldgruva, i direkt anknytning till hur vi skall genomföra våra egna äventyr i sommar!

Plus att jag blev tilldelad Ola Skinnarmo som mentor genom det hela, respekt!

Det är mycket planering just nu och hela tiden snurrar det i skallen om saker som måste göras, samtidigt som jag precis avslutat mitt säsongsjobb här uppe i Jukkasjärvi som vildmarksguide på ICEHOTEL.
Genom all fokus försöker jag frambringa hur ofantligt underbart allt det här kommer att bli!
